Holidays

I am excited this Holiday Season, as a bunch of new, wonderful things are occurring.
1. My Job is getting busier
2. My girlfriend... well, I HAVE a girlfriend :P
3. My family is keeping old, and starting new traditions..
Blah Blah Blah...
This is all amazing stuff, but the holidays are ALWAYS hard. Always. No matter what good is happening in our lives, there is always something that makes it harder.

I have found that, for me, the holidays seem to be the hardest because I see everybody so happy, but I for some reason can't be the equivalent happiness. Well, I found a solution... and it's nothing new... but it's effective.

Giving, Caring, Loving, and Serving....

These age-old actions are the express line to re-inventing your happiness. Yes, it's totally innovative ;) I'm totally telling you something new... No, this is absolutely not new... but it's important.

The most important thing you can do for yourself this time of the year is to spread the happiness to others that you would like to feel for yourself. This is no easy task, but when accomplished... I foresee some happiness in your future.

Spread the Love, Give a gift to someone not expecting one. Serve others who are in a lower point of life than yours. I read a touching story once... of a man who had been kicked out of his house. He was living on the streets with close to nothing left. Another homeless man was shivering in the streets, and the man who had been kicked out of his house gave this homeless man the jacket off his back. That kind of loving, giving, and caring is the kind that makes me truly happy, and will help make you happy as well.

Be of good cheer, help someone else... Find happiness in this.

I've been away, but now I'm back!

I've been away for some time, and I feel really terrible for that. There are so many people who need help this time of the year. I want to be an outlet for those people. I'm just one person, but I will be here as often as I can be to leave positive words to my followers. Good luck during this holiday season, and I am back for as long as I can be! Like I said, I'm here for all of you! be of good cheer, and enjoy this holiday season!

Happiness is earned

I was incredibly upset to discover that Nobody. Not a single famous person had said this quote before. So I will be the first to tell you. Happiness isn't found, but yet it is earned through tribulation and hard work. You can't expect to just all of a sudden be happy. It does not, and will never work that way. Happiness wouldn't be so great if it was simply handed to you. Those who are truly happy worked their whole lives, and continue to work their whole lives to be there.

My advice to all of you readers, wherever you may be. Work towards happiness. Read these messages. Follow them. I may not be a professional psychologist, but I sure understand how the human brain works. I have overcome my personal depression, and I continue to keep it at bay daily. I work hard to keep myself happy. There are always sad days, and that's to be expected... But keep pushing harder and harder, and together we will earn our re-invented happiness!

Whoops, Got busy there!

Well, I got busy for a short time the day that I promised to write the 3 main factors of depression, and I never had time to go back and write them in. The good news is that I have time now, and will be posting over the course of this week 3 separate posts detailing this information. Since this is a very important topic, I'm going to do some research to back up my opinion. Who knows, this may shed some new light on my belief as to what that may be, so until I actually have all of the information... I'm just going to post some positive photos, and encouraging quotes!

3 Reasons

Happiness is desired by everybody, and everybody deserves it. However, in the world we live in... it's one of the hardest things to obtain.

this is just a post to let you know I haven't forgotten about this blog. Tonight, I'm going to cover what I believe are the 3 largest reasons for depression and anxiety.

I'll also cover 3 solutions to those 3 problems... to be fair ;)

Until tonight!

Nothing is Perfect

I posted this as my first official post because there is one tiny fact, if grasped, that can make many find their re-invented happiness.
Nothing is perfect. Not a single thing in this world. Now don't be sad about it because that's a good thing. All of the imperfections in an item shape exactly what it is. That applies to humans as well. You are imperfect for a very specific reason. Whether you speak of God, or Science, our imperfections are what make us different.
Being different is important. Fighting your natural difference by trying to be just like other people, or trying to be what people want you to be truly just worsens depression. Don't fight who you are. Don't try to be somebody who you're not. Find yourself by doing stuff that makes you happy, and stop worrying about imperfections.
Look beyond the imperfections in life. The imperfections that you have. Accept them all, and that is your first true step toward being happy.

Hello

Hi there, if you're reading this then you're more than likely friends or family. If you're neither... then welcome stranger, I hope I can be of help to you in my blog.

My name is Blaine Rulon Wanner. I'm 20 years old and I work for AT&T as a manager. I am 240 pounds and 6 feet tall (Working on the weight though :P) I have one semester of college under my belt, and plan to go back as soon as possible. I have a history of depression that I have left untreated, and have learned to deal with it in my daily life. I have found ways to be happy despite the chemical attack on my brain referred to as depression.

I'm sure that you noticed the title of my blog is Re-inventing Happiness. This is my purpose here, to help people to find happiness despite their struggles. How I plan to do this, is to share personal information about my own life and teach you how I cope with it. I will also tell you about studies I have read about depression and anxiety, and what professionals define as the probable cause for those situations.

One day, I plan to be a Grief Counselor working to combat the suicide rate, by helping people find reason to live. Here, I will post pictures, articles, songs and stories that are beautiful, triumphant, touching, and all other manners of awesome. I want to make this world a better place to live in, and you have heard my plan to do so. Please, do me a favor and share this blog to everybody who you think could use it. I can remember a time where I wish I had something like this blog to read.

Share with your friends, your family, your coworkers, whoever you think deserves to reinvent happiness!

With Love,

Blaine R Wanner
